BuildBook

Privacy Policy

Effective date: August 22, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how [Legal Business Name], an individual seller operating under the BuildBook name, collects, uses, stores, and protects personal information when you visit this website, place an order, or contact us. It is intended to comply with the Philippine Data Privacy Act of 2012 (Republic Act No. 10173) and related regulations.

1. Who controls your information

The personal-information controller for this website is [Legal Business Name]. Public contact details are: [Business Address] and vaurenworks@gmail.com.

2. Information we collect

Depending on how you use the site, we may collect the following:

  • Your name and email address when you check out or ask for support.
  • Your order details and a payment reference number generated by PayMongo, our payment processor.
  • Technical information such as IP address, browser, device, approximate location, referring page, and event data generated when analytics or advertising tools are enabled.
  • Cookie identifiers and similar technologies, including Meta Pixel identifiers, where enabled and permitted by your browser settings.

We never see or collect your card number, GCash PIN, one-time password, or other payment credentials. Payment is entered directly into PayMongo's own secure checkout page, which we do not have access to. See section 3 for how PayMongo handles that information.

3. Why we use your information

We process information only for declared and legitimate purposes, including to:

  • Fulfill your order and send the BuildBook Contractor System file you purchased once PayMongo confirms payment.
  • Respond to questions, refund requests, and support concerns.
  • Maintain transaction, fraud-prevention, accounting, and legal records.
  • Secure, troubleshoot, measure, and improve the website.
  • Measure advertising performance and create marketing audiences when Meta tools are enabled. Any promotional email campaign should use a separate lawful opt-in and provide an easy way to stop receiving marketing messages.

4. Legal bases and consent

Depending on the purpose, processing may be necessary to perform your purchase contract, comply with legal obligations, pursue legitimate business and security interests, or based on your consent. Where consent is used, you may withdraw it for future processing; withdrawal does not undo processing already completed lawfully or prevent us from keeping information needed for a transaction, legal claim, accounting record, or fraud-prevention purpose.

5. Service providers and disclosures

We may share the minimum information needed with service providers that process it for us. These may include Gmail or an email-delivery provider for transactional emails, website hosting and infrastructure providers, and Meta for analytics or advertising measurement when those tools are configured. We do not sell your personal information. We do not share your payment credentials because we do not collect them.

We may disclose information when required by law, legal process, government request, fraud investigation, dispute resolution, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of the seller, customers, or the public.

6. Email and Meta processing

Your email is used to deliver order confirmation, download links, support replies, and transaction-related notices. If Meta Conversions API is enabled, the system may convert your email into a one-way hash before sending it to Meta for event matching and advertising measurement; Meta may also receive technical event data such as browser identifiers, IP address, and user agent. You can manage cookies and advertising controls through your browser and Meta account settings.

7. Storage, retention, and disposal

We never receive or store your card number, GCash PIN, or other payment credentials; those are entered directly into PayMongo's own secure checkout page. We retain email, order, and payment-reference details only as long as reasonably necessary for fulfillment, accounting, fraud prevention, a refund or dispute, establishment or defense of a legal claim, or another legal requirement. Support and marketing records are retained only as long as needed for their stated purpose. When retention is no longer justified, records are securely deleted, anonymized, or otherwise disposed of to prevent further access or processing.

8. Security

We use reasonable organizational, physical, and technical safeguards appropriate to the information processed, including keeping payment collection entirely on PayMongo's PCI-compliant checkout page rather than our own servers, input validation, and access controls. No internet transmission or storage system is completely risk-free, so please do not submit passwords, PINs, or unnecessary sensitive information.

9. Your rights

Subject to applicable law and lawful exceptions, you may ask to be informed about processing, access or correct your information, object to certain processing, request erasure or blocking, request data portability where applicable, withdraw consent, and seek damages for unlawful processing. To make a request, email vaurenworks@gmail.com or contact us through the support email listed below. We may ask for reasonable information to verify your identity before acting on a request.

You may also raise a concern with the National Privacy Commission if you believe your rights have been violated.

10. Updates and contact

We may update this policy when our processing, services, or legal obligations change. The current version will be posted on this page. For privacy questions, requests, or complaints, use vaurenworks@gmail.com or the support email listed below:
